Bridgetown Senior Curling Club members meet every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm to start curling at 1:30pm. Teams are then made up of all those in attendance, we rotate team positions and senior members through the teams so that all senior members have a chance at playing the different positions on a team as well as playing with different people. We are always looking for new members, if you are interested then contact one of the executive members below or come down on a Tuesday or Thursday and introduce yourself and try it out. Our season runs from November 1st thru the end of March. Senior club members must be fifty (50) years of age or greater.

Senior Curling Year-End Review

Senior curling finished for the 2008-09 season on Wednesday, March 19^th.

A mini tournament was held with all members participating with the winning team being presented prizes along with the Presidents Cub. This year’s trophy went to a team skipped by Charlie Tidd. Seasonal players were also awarded prizes (Supplemented by End of the Line Pub) for best average points prior to Christmas as well as best average points after Christmas. A draw to the button competition was held with all Senior’s participating, with the overall winner being Joe Tidd. Prizes donated by Eden Golf and Country Club was presented to most improved rookie male – Frank Illsley and most improved rookie female – Elizabeth Gnaedinger. Draws for additional prizes took place’ and these prizes were donated by Lawrencetown Restaurant, Connell Chrysler, Best Toyota and Valley Industries. Annual meeting was held and new executive was voted in, a special thanks goes out to our past President Ed Troop for doing a great job in 2007-08. After all of this we set down to a wonderful Pot Luck lunch provided by the members. Special thanks go out to all the members of the Bridgetown Seniors for a very enjoyable year and we look forward to seeing everyone back for the 2008-09 season.
